A message of welcome
Many Cultures,
One Phamily.
Our Phamily has never looked like just one thing. It speaks English and Spanish. It traces its roots to Harlem and Havana, to the Bronx and Borinquen, to the Dominican Republic, Panama, Colombia and beyond. It prays in many voices and dances to many rhythms, and it has always stood on the same square.
Tonight we celebrate that truth.
Latino Brothers and Sisters have been woven into the fabric of Prince Hall Masonry and the Order of the Eastern Star for generations. They have served in our Lodges and Chapters, led in our communities, and carried our principles of brotherly love, relief and truth into every corner of this city. Their heritage is not something we set aside one month a year. It is part of who we are.
Under the leadership of MW Darren M. Morton, Ed.D., Grand Master of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge, State of New York, and Grand Worthy Matron Sis. Delores Lopes and Grand Worthy Patron Bro. Anthony J. McEachin of Eureka Grand Chapter, we come together to honor the history, culture and contributions of the Latino community.
They are public servants and storytellers, healers and organizers, artists and advocates. Some of them wear our aprons. All of them have spent their lives lifting others. Their stories remind us that when cultures come together with a shared purpose, the whole community rises.
Join us for an evening of fellowship, refreshments, entertainment and heartfelt recognition. Come celebrate honor, culture, community and togetherness, and the many cultures that make us one.
